Vehicles carrying rescue equipment according to OEMS
standard to qualify as R1, R3, or R4. Usually, R-1 units carry basic
medical supplies and hand tools. R-3 units carry minimum rescue
equipment (light hydraulic tools and/or air bags), and medical
supplies. R-4 units carry a full compliment of heavy rescue tools
and medical supplies. |
