5/18 - Impressive numbers
In the months of January to March 2008, QV received and answered 6,727 E-911 calls.  Of those, 6,674 (99.2%) were answered in under 10 seconds (that was .2% better than last quarter and .5% better than the quarter before). 51 calls were answered between 10 and 20 sec., and only 2 between 20-30 sec.
 
The NENA (National Emergency Number Association) standard for answering 911 calls is that 90% of all 911 calls shall be answered within 10 seconds during the busy hour.  95% of all 911 calls should be answered within 20 seconds.  There were 788 also abandon 911 calls this quarter.

In 2007, QV received 33,369 E-911 calls
(Cellular - 17,473, Wireline - 15,831, VOIP - 65)
11,128 Calls for Service were generated in CAD
Average 911 Call Answer Time - 2.55 seconds
