5/18 - Impressive numbers
In the months of January to March 2008, QV received and answered 6,727 E-911
calls. Of those, 6,674 ( 99.2%) were answered in under 10
seconds (that was .2% better than last quarter and .5% better than the
quarter before). 51 calls were answered between 10 and 20 sec., and only 2
between 20-30 sec.
The NENA (National Emergency Number Association) standard for answering 911
calls is that 90% of all 911 calls shall be answered within 10 seconds
during the busy hour. 95% of all 911 calls should be answered within 20
seconds. There were 788 also abandon 911 calls this quarter.
