QVEC Call Answer Times
For the period January 1, 2010 - March 31, 2010 QVEC answered 7,244 E-911 calls.  Of those calls answered, 7178(99.1%) were answered in under 10 seconds.  55 calls (.8%) were answered between 10-20 seconds and 11 calls (0.2%) were answered between 20-30 seconds.  The National Emergency Number Association (NENA) standard states that 90% of all 911 calls shall be answered within 10 seconds and that 95% of all 911 calls shall be answered within 20 seconds.  The CT Statewide average for this same time period was 96%.
